This was the first book written by Xavier Neal that I have read. I really enjoyed the story and her writing. The only reason I didn't give a solid 5 stars was simply because I feel like it could have used a little more editing. Other than that, this book was really good!
I love that the author took your typical teenage pregnancy story and turned it upside down. So often we hear and read about the teenage girl who finds out she is pregnant and the baby daddy takes off. This was a refreshing twist in which Connor finds himself a teenage father at 15 years old.
Add to that the spoiled rich girl, Gianna, who does everything she can to get attention from her parents. All the wrong things. Now she has been given the ultimatum, screw up again and you're outta here. You can tell under that tough-girl exterior is a young girl just wanting to belong and to have approval.
You take these two broken people and put them together and you're guaranteed one heck of a story. There were times in the book that I wanted to smack the characters and there were times when I wanted to pull them into a great big hug.
